Proposal Manager

Position Description

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time proposal manager to lead our proposal development efforts at our main office in Oviedo, Florida. The position primarily involves the production of proposals and letters of interest aimed at obtaining new projects as well as creating and maintaining resumes, project descriptions, brochures, social media, and other materials for proposal and marketing purposes. Essential tasks and abilities are included below:

  • Review request for proposals (RFPs) and request for qualifications (RFQs) to develop the proposal schedule and assignments and track and compile materials per deadlines while ensuring that each client's RFP/RFQ requirements are fully met.
  • Maintain and assist in the management of information, monitor and track opportunities in Deltek Vision, and contribute to department organization. 
  • Collaborate with project managers to select appropriate projects and personnel to be included in proposal and qualifications documents per the RFP or RFQ.
  • Prepare proposal documents and other materials using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office and physically assemble products by printing, laminating, and binding.
  • Generate original written content for proposals, project pages, resumes, brochures, and social media posts.
  • Proofread, edit, and standardize proposal text for proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, comprehension, and style and ensure quality and consistency throughout documents and publications.

Position Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • Five or more years of relevant experience with the planning, preparation, and production of engineering proposals and qualifications packages for government clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred; knowledge of database customization is a plus
