Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mandee Brandt, P.E., has been elected President of the Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society (FES).  Brandt was inducted into her new position on June 16, 2010.
 
Brandt has been involved with FES since 2000. She has served as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President, among other roles with the organization. During Brandt’s one-year term as President, her responsibilities will include working to maintain membership, encouraging volunteerism in the community, and increasing fundraising efforts for scholarships.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce that five employees earned their certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers. David Ledgerwood, PE; Hadil Jardaneh, PE; Josh Spence, PE; Kevin Iannarone, PE; and Tom Amstadt, PE, have earned their registered Professional Engineer designation. The firm is currently 46 employees strong with 20 registered professional engineers and nine certified engineer interns.

In February 2010, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One announced the completion of the Fort Fraser Trail extension, located in Polk County.  As part of the design-build team, Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. was selected by FDOT to provide the engineering design of the trail.
 
The Fort Fraser Trail extension is a multi-use trail connection between the existing, 7.5-mile Fort Fraser Trail, located along U.S. 98 between Lakeland and Bartow, and the Circle B Bar Reserve’s 3.5-mile trail network. The trail extension provides regional, recreational connections that allow for a more pedestrian and bike friendly community.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc., located in Oviedo, is pleased to announce that the year 2010 marks the firm’s 15th anniversary.  The firm employs over 45 engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel.  Over the years, Inwood has developed a reputation of providing quality civil, environmental, transportation engineering, planning, and public involvement services to governmental clients throughout the state of Florida.
