Ricky Ly, PE and Jennifer Palmer, PE

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is excited to announce that Ricky Ly, PE, and Jennifer Palmer, PE, have passed their Florida Professional Engineer exam. They took the test at the end of October.
Ricky has been with Inwood for more than four years as an engineering intern in the Water Resources group. Jennifer joined Inwood’s Transportation group almost six years ago. Both started their careers at Inwood as interns.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. continued to grow in October by adding two more team members: Mirta Laos, PE, and Negin Alimohammadi. Mirta Laos, PE, re-joins Inwood in the Transportation Drainage group. She previously worked at Inwood in 2006 and we are excited to welcome her back. Ms. Laos has served as Engineering Intern and Project Engineer on various roadway projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), as well as municipal government clients throughout Florida since 2002. She graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2000 with a bachelor of science in civil engineering.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. continued its growth in September when Joella Schultz, PE; Nicholas Troilo, EI; and Justin Christensen, EI, joined the firm. With these additions, Inwood now has 47 employees, including 23 registered professional engineers.
Joella Schultz, PE, joined Inwood’s Water Resources group and will be working out of Brooksville. Ms. Schultz will focus on watershed management projects for SWFWMD. She has over nine years of experience in water resources engineering with five years of experience managing and supporting watershed management surface water modeling and assessments for state agencies. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2004 with a bachelor of science in agricultural engineering and a master of science in engineering.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. assisted Orange County with a first round of public meetings they hosted on Monday and Wednesday for the Waterford Lakes Small Area Study. The purpose of the study is to analyze the overall performance of the area roadways and multimodal network. It will result in a report containing a prioritized list of safety and capacity improvements.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is proud to announce that David Dangel, PE, has been promoted to Director of PD&E and Environmental Services. Mr. Dangel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida and brings 24 years of experience to his new role, which includes 15 years with Inwood.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Renato Chuw, PE, as Associate Principal. Mr. Chuw has managed the Transportation Drainage group and served as Senior Engineer on Inwood’s drainage design projects since 2007. As Associate Principal, he will continue to perform his normal duties as well as take on an ownership role and responsibility in the overall management and direction of the firm. Mr. Chuw graduated from UCF with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and has over 17 years of experience in the industry.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Joshua Spence, PE, CFM, to project manager. Mr. Spence has been with Inwood for over six years. He has served as project engineer on various drainage and water resource projects throughout the state. His experience includes watershed modeling and stormwater retrofits, including drainage infrastructure inventory and evaluation, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain analysis, and stormwater design. His new responsibilities will include management of the project scope, schedule, and budget as well as participation in project marketing and client management.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. added three new engineering interns during the months of July and August with more additions expected to be announced in September. Our recent project awards have created the need for this internal growth.

Michael Pfister, EI, joined Inwood’s Transportation group as part of the design team where he is primarily responsible for roadway design, cost analysis on design alternatives, and construction plans production. Mr. Pfister served as an engineering technician, construction inspector, and ultimately a drafting technician and surveyor for the U.S. Air Force prior to earning his bachelor of science in civil engineering in 2011.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc., as part of the Kimley-Horn & Associates (KHA) team, was selected for the Osceola Parkway Extension PD&E Study for Florida's Turnpike Enterprise. Inwood is a major partner on this project and contributed to the win with our experience in completing the original feasibility study, which was initiated by Osceola County and completed in association with KHA in early 2012.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is part of Leware Construction Company's team that was selected for the SR 37 Design-Build project for FDOT District 1. The project consists of widening the existing SR 37 roadway to four lanes and completely replacing the existing two-lane bridge over the north fork of the Alafia River. While Leware is the lead contractor and will handle bridge construction, Inwood is the lead engineer and will cover project management, roadway and drainage design, traffic control plans, signing and pavement markings, utility coordination, and permitting.
