Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc is pleased to announce that David Graeber, PE and Mark Hales, PE have been appointed Associate Principals of the firm.

David Graeber, PE, provides engineering and planning services on a variety of transportation projects throughout the state. Mr. Graeber's key area of expertise is with Project Development and Environment (PD&E) and Corridor Studies. He also has extensive experience with trail planning and design, ETDM, State and Federal Policy Development and Program Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and a Masters of Public Administration from Minnesota State University.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc is pleased to announce that Jason Houck, MS, GISP, PWS, has earned his Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification.

This certification signifies that Mr. Houck's academic and work experience meet the standards expected by his peers of a practicing wetland professional. Moreover, it provides acknowledgment to his peers of his adherence to standards and ethics in the practice of wetland science. Certification also enhances recognition of wetland science within other disciplines, especially in multi-disciplinary work environments.

For the third year in a row, Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. formed a team to participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) 5K walk. Inwood employees, family and friends joined over 5,000 walkers in downtown Orlando on Saturday, October 18. The 28-member team raised over $2,900 for the cause and was awarded with Bronze Striders recognition.

Inwood's top fundraiser, Janet Middleton, PE, stated, I am proud to support such a worthy cause. My mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year. I want to do all I can to help her and others battling the disease to have a cancer-free future.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. has moved into its new corporate office building, located in Oviedo, Florida. Doster Construction Company broke ground on the project in October of 2007. Inwood opened its doors for business at the new location on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.

The building, designed by Hunton Brady Architects, is 30,000 square feet and just minutes from Inwood's previous location. The facility offers the space needed to achieve the long-term goals of the firm. It currently houses 62 employees and has the capability to accommodate approximately 130 employees and expand to 45,000 square feet in the future.

Jason Houck, MS, GISP has joined Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. as environmental scientist. Mr. Houck's primary responsibilities include environmental resource permitting, wildlife consultation, wetland delineation and assessment, and mitigation planning and design. Mr. Houck will also be responsible for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis.

Orange County has selected Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. to provide final engineering design services for the widening of Texas Avenue from Oak Ridge Road to Holden Avenue. Inwood is responsible for roadway design and construction plans preparation; stormwater analysis, drainage design and permitting; and public information. Moreover, the firm will complete the design of utilities, traffic signalization and signing and pavement markings.

As part of the company's continuing growth; Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of two new employees to their team of professionals. Eric Wilkinson, EI, and Greg Hill have joined the firm's Utilities division. With these additions, Inwood is now over 60 employees strong, including 17 certified professional engineers and 18 certified engineer interns.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce that Paul Sebert, AICP, has joined the firm as senior environmental scientist. Mr. Sebert will be in charge of the development and growth of Inwood's new environmental services. His primary responsibilities will be conducting environmental studies, such as wetland, species, air, noise, and contamination evaluations for transportation, stormwater management, planning and other infrastructure improvement projects. Inwood plans to market these services to its clients as well as other consulting firms.

In an effort to support the Central Florida community, Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. participated in two important charity events this spring.

On Saturday, March 29, 2008, Inwood employees and their families and friends joined over 400 walkers at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs to participate in Lighthouse Central Florida's (LCF) Sight and Sole Walk. LCF is the only organization in Central Florida that provides comprehensive vision rehabilitation services to children and adults with vision impairment. At the event, Inwood was recognized with a trophy for being a Brightest Star fundraiser. In the past five years, Inwood has raised over $11,000 for the organization.

Geoff VanBueren, EI, has joined Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. as an engineer intern. His primary responsibilities will include the development of horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, roadway plans production, and project cost estimating.

Mark Hales, PE, Associate and Roadway/Transportation Project Manager stated, "Geoff is an excellent addition to our growing team. We are looking forward to utilizing his skills to further the success of Inwood."

Prior to joining Inwood, Mr. VanBueren served as a cooperative intern with a transportation firm in Atlanta, Georgia. During this internship, he worked on the taxiway design and runway extension for Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport, as well as on various County and State road widening projects in Georgia.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc is pleased to announce the appointment of Principal Ed Buck, PE, to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Buck will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the firm. Additionally, he will oversee operations management which includes finance, accounting, administration, human resources, facilities and information technology (IT).

Since Inwood's inception in 1995, Mr. Buck, one of the firm's founders, has served as a Project Manager and Engineer on various transportation projects throughout the state. His experience includes complex roadway design, design-build, Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies and quality assurance/quality control.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce that six employees have recently earned their certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers. Chin Chua, PE, has earned his registered Professional Engineer designation. In addition, Hadil Jardaneh, EI; Lorry Robles, EI; Sean Carrigan, EI; Geoff VanBueren, EI and Jennifer Zaitooni, EI have earned their Engineer Intern certification. The firm is 55 employees strong with 18 certified professional engineers and 17 certified engineer interns.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc is pleased to announce four employee promotions. Mark Hales, PE, and David Graeber, PE, have been appointed Associates of the firm. Kate Spiess, PE, and Steve Sommerfeldt, PE, have been promoted to Project Managers.

In over two and a half years with the firm, Mark Hales, PE, has successfully provided transportation engineering and project management services to Inwood's clients. His key areas of expertise include rural and urban roadway design, as well as limited access highway design and milling and resurfacing projects. Hales graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. ceremonially broke ground on Friday, November 9, 2007 for a new $7.8 million corporate office building, located in Winter Springs, that will allow for continuing growth and expansion of the firm.

The 30,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, located at 3000 Dovera Drive, will sit on 4 acres of water-front property and is just minutes away from the current office location in Oviedo. Due for completion in July 2008, the new facility will have the capacity to house approximately 130 employees and the capability to expand to 45,000 square feet in the future.

Laura Duncalf has joined Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. as a planner. Her responsibilities will include the development and review of planning reports/studies, technical writing, public involvement and GIS analysis. As a member of the Project Development and Environment (PD&E)/Planning Group, she will have the opportunity to work on a variety of PD&E and trail studies, as well as assist with the expansion of Inwood's planning services.
