Happy 15th Anniversary to Josh Spence, PE, CFM! Josh has been with Inwood since January of 2006 and has steadily progressed in his career while focusing on water resources. He graduated from UCF with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering and is a perennial student. He is a certified floodplain manager, a qualified stormwater management inspector, and a Professional Engineer. Josh currently serves as Project Manager on several large watershed management and floodplain analysis projects. Congratulations on this milestone, Josh! We are proud to announce that Ben Shepherd, PWS, has become a stockholder and Senior Associate at Inwood! When Ben started here in 2014, he already had seven years of experience under his belt and not one but two separate Master’s degrees. As a Senior Ecologist and Project Manager in our Ecology group, his contributions and ability to lead have been undeniable. Ben shares his experience with co-workers and clients alike and his eye for growth has led to new project wins and strong client relationships. Tony comes to us with over 20 years of experience designing and evaluating bridges throughout each of FDOT’s eight districts. In his role here, he will focus on business development, project management, and staff growth. Kate joined our team in September of 2000 as a fresh graduate of Georgia Tech and has been a valuable member of our Transportation group since then. Now as a Senior Project Manager, Kate’s expertise with client and project management make her a valuable leader. Jennifer graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in business management. She started working at Inwood 14 years ago as a front desk receptionist and has continuously shown the ability to take on more complex duties. She currently serves as our Contract & Finance Manager. In this role, she manages the contractual lifecycle for Inwood’s projects as well as billings, tax filings, payroll, employee records, performance reviews, benefits, and the implementation of policies and procedures.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. announces that Jesse Blouin, AICP has been appointed as an Associate Principal.
Jesse has been with Inwood nearly two years and serves as a Project Manager in Inwood’s Planning, PD&E and Ecological Services group; Jesse’s career has focused on transportation planning and PD&E (NEPA) studies for the Florida Department of Transportation and local governments. He has also done significant work throughout the Southeastern United States. In his role at Inwood, Jesse manages transportation planning and PD&E Studies for roadways, trails and rail and transit projects. He also assists with business development, corporate strategy and marketing efforts for all of Inwood’s business units. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys hiking, volunteering and researching and writing about Central Florida History.
Inwood’s Director of PD&E and Environmental Services, David Dangel, PE, noted “Jesse has proven himself as a leader with a driven work ethic and an energetic approach to his projects and daily activities. He has formed great client relationships because of his responsiveness and dedication to the projects he manages. We look forward to his continued contribution as a leader of the firm.”
Mark graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and has over 21 years of experience, including 15 years with Inwood. While away from work, he enjoys watching his kids play sports, being active in his church, going to the beach, working on cars, and home renovations. He has been an integral part of the company’s leadership team since 2009 when he was named as Associate Principal. In 2016, he became a Principal and Senior Project Manager of the firm, thus solidifying his distinction as a key individual in Inwood’s future. During this time, he has helped to ensure the continued growth of the company while providing engineering and project management services for transportation projects throughout the state. In his new role, Mark will oversee Inwood’s Transportation division, including overall management and supervision of the division’s projects, staffing, training, and teaming initiatives.

Inwood has raised over $6,000 this year which will be used by LCF to help Central Florida’s community of the blind and visually impaired.
Inwood has participated in and donated to every Sight & Sole celebration charity drive since 2005. One of Inwood's founders, Alex Hull, discovered LCF when his sister began looking for vision loss rehabilitation services. This personal experience blossomed into a corporate desire to be a part of something that was helping those in our community who have experienced vision loss.

Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. introduces our newest principal, David Dangel, PE. Mr. Dangel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida, he brings more than 25 years of experience to his new leadership role and has been with Inwood for 17 years.
Mr. Dangel is a long-time resident of Oviedo/Winter Springs area, well connected in the engineering industry, and a member of the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute, class of 2014. Inwood looks forward to strong growth and future opportunities as Mr. Dangel leads his team and serves his community and profession.
Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. has been selected for the Poinciana Parkway Southport Connector PD&E Study for the Florida Department of Transportation, District 5. Kimley-Horn and Associates will be a major partner on this project along with Bowyer Singleton, GEC, ACA, Southeastern Archaeological Research, 3E Consultants, Quest Corporation, and Logan Simpson Design.
The Southport Connector runs from Florida's Turnpike to Pleasant Hill Road in Osceola County and is part of the County’s 20-year Roadway Program. The purpose of the connector is to meet the increase in traffic and transportation demands in the South Lake Toho area by providing connectivity from the Turnpike to Pleasant Hill Road near Poinciana. The Inwood team is committed to the success of developing the Southport Connector while keeping the important considerations of the social and environmental impacts to the surrounding area.
His primary responsibilities include GIS processing for watershed modeling as well as design and permitting for stormwater retrofit projects. Mr. Troilo graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in August 2011 with a bachelor of science in environmental engineering.
Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. assisted Orange County with a first round of public meetings they hosted on Monday and Wednesday for the Waterford Lakes Small Area Study. The purpose of the study is to analyze the overall performance of the area roadways and multimodal network. It will result in a report containing a prioritized list of safety and capacity improvements.
The public meetings held this week included a presentation by Christine Lofye, PE, Orange County Project Manager, and an opportunity for property owners within the study area to voice their opinions and assist in the identification of issues for the study. Along with Orange County staff and Inwood PD&E team members, District 4 Commissioner Jennifer Thompson and Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings were amongst those in attendance on Wednesday night.

Mr. Spence graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He went on to earn his master of science degree in civil engineering in 2006. In 2009, he became a certified floodplain manager and a qualified stormwater management inspector before earning his registered Professional Engineer designation from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
