 Happy 10th anniversary to Zach Evans, PE, a crucial member of our transportation drainage group! Zach mentors junior engineers and is the lead drainage engineer on various design projects and studies. His team recently shared that Zach has a welcoming attitude, is fun to be around, and is always willing to take the time to explain concepts or help out.  Today we celebrate the 15th anniversary of Renato Chuw, PE, here at Inwood! Renato is an Associate Principal and our Drainage Section Manager. His team enjoys working with him and shared that he’s a great mentor. He always takes the time to explain concepts in-depth or offer help, even when he is busy himself. Renato is a hard worker, seems to have endless patience, and adds humor to our office - and trophies! Seven years in a row, he led our team to victory as the Design Professionals Volleyball League champions! Thanks for being you, Renato! Congratulations on your work anniversary!!
 This month marks the 10th anniversary of one of our senior engineers, Mirta Laos, PE! We are grateful to have someone so dedicated to working on our drainage designs! Not only is Mirta a pleasure to work with, but she is passionate about what she does.  We’re excited to announce that our very own Steve Sommerfeldt, PE, CFM, has been selected as the ASCE East Central Branch (ECB) Member of the Year! After 20 years of involvement and holding several positions within the ECB, including serving as President (2018-2019), we feel this award is well deserved! Steve recently started ECB’s first-ever Sustainability Committee, where he serves as the Chair. He also currently serves as the Florida Section District 3 Vice President. Steve is very grateful for the many opportunities ASCE has provided him to give back to the local engineering profession. He and his family frequently volunteer at the many great events hosted by ASCE and other engineering societies, including the recent Central Florida MATHCOUNTS competition. He hopes to inspire others to get involved and do more! Congratulations, Steve!

Congratulations to Tasha McGraw on her 10-year anniversary with Inwood! She started her career at Inwood as a temporary receptionist and has since moved on to become an integral part of our Accounting team.  Congratulations to Mandy Loughran for 15 years at Inwood! She has been a consistently dependable team player and we are fortunate to have her as our Public Relations Specialist! Mandy has used her public involvement skills to contribute to the overall success of many projects through the years, but one of the most challenging projects was the SR 40 PD&E Study. This project spanned several counties and involved a diverse group of stakeholders. With Mandy’s experience and thorough documentation, we were able to encourage public input and build consensus.  Today we celebrate David Dangel, PE, on his 25th anniversary with Inwood! David is a principal and leads the charge for our PD&E & Ecological Services group. His expertise in PD&E and preliminary engineering studies as well as his steady leadership makes him a huge part of our success. Congratulations, David!
 Congratulations to Cameron DeWitt, PE, on reaching his 10-year anniversary with Inwood today! He started here in 2011 as an intern in our Water Resources group while earning his degree at UCF. Over time, he transitioned into our Transportation group where he has played a large role on many of our drainage design and permitting projects. Cameron chose engineering because he was interested in math and science and he wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps. We think he made the right call! We have enjoyed watching him develop into a successful engineer and we are proud of his achievements, including recently becoming a PE!
 Congratulations are in order for Dennis Atkins, MCP! Today he celebrates his 20-year anniversary with Inwood. Not only is he our IT manager, but he also wears many different hats around the office to ensure operations are running smoothly. He is an expert at 3D modeling, rendering, and animation; he produces public involvement videos; and he serves as a voice-over talent. Thank you for all of your hard work, Dennis! You are an integral part of Inwood’s success.
 The spotlight is on our newest professional engineers! Ali Alsaffar, PE; Cameron DeWitt, PE; and Zack Kerkman, PE, all successfully passed the principles and practice of engineering (PE) exam in October. Ali has been with the company for 5 years as of February, Cameron is approaching 10 years, and Zack joined Inwood almost one year ago. Congratulations to all three of you on demonstrating your knowledge and expertise in your areas of practice. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication!
 We are proud to announce that Ben Shepherd, PWS, has become a stockholder and Senior Associate at Inwood! When Ben started here in 2014, he already had seven years of experience under his belt and not one but two separate Master’s degrees. As a Senior Ecologist and Project Manager in our Ecology group, his contributions and ability to lead have been undeniable. Ben shares his experience with co-workers and clients alike and his eye for growth has led to new project wins and strong client relationships. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for him. Congratulations, Ben!
 This year is off to a great start for our Project Manager, Josh Spence, PE, CFM.  Inwood is proud to introduce Tony Bevilacqua, PE, as the new manager of our Structural Services group. Tony comes to us with over 20 years of experience designing and evaluating bridges throughout each of FDOT’s eight districts. In his role here, he will focus on business development, project management, and staff growth. We are excited to have Tony join the Inwood family and look forward to seeing this group grow and flourish under Tony’s direction.
 Happy 15th Anniversary to Josh Spence, PE, CFM! Josh has been with Inwood since January of 2006 and has steadily progressed in his career while focusing on water resources. He graduated from UCF with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering and is a perennial student. He is a certified floodplain manager, a qualified stormwater management inspector, and a Professional Engineer. Josh currently serves as Project Manager on several large watershed management and floodplain analysis projects. Congratulations on this milestone, Josh! We look forward to many more years of growth and opportunity with Inwood.
 We want to congratulate Jessica Ballock, PE, on her 15th anniversary with Inwood! Jessica started her career with us in 2005 as an intern while she pursued her civil engineering degree at UCF. She continued on full time when she graduated and earned her Professional Engineer license in 2012. She is currently a Project Manager in our Transportation group. We admire Jessica’s dedication and the organization she brings to all of her projects. Congratulations, Jessica!
 Today we celebrate Jennifer Marsden on her 15th anniversary with Inwood! Jennifer started her career at Inwood as our receptionist while working on her degree in Business Management. She has steadily grown in responsibility over the years and serves as our Contract and Finance Manager as well as a stockholder and a Senior Associate of the firm. Jennifer has played a major role in Inwood’s success, and we look forward to working with her for many years to come!
 Congratulations to Kate Spiess, PE, as she celebrates her 20-year anniversary with Inwood! Kate joined our team in September of 2000 as a fresh graduate of Georgia Tech and has been a valuable member of our Transportation group since then. Over the years, it has been a great pleasure watching her flourish both personally and professionally, honing her technical skills on a variety of transportation design projects. Now as a Senior Project Manager, Kate’s expertise with client and project management make her a valuable leader. Her hard work and dedication to quality are recognized and appreciated by both her peers and our clients. We look forward to many more years working alongside Kate!
 Congratulations to Kevin Iannarone, PE, on his 15-year anniversary here at Inwood! We have really enjoyed seeing Kevin’s progression throughout the years. He started his career at Inwood while he was a student at UCF. Upon graduation, he developed his technical skills while being exposed to a wide variety of transportation projects. Later, he achieved his Professional Engineer registration, became a Project Manager with our Transportation group, and is now an Associate Principal of the firm. Kevin has become a major part of the success story of Inwood and we look forward to many more years of working with him
