In support of the vision impaired community in Central Florida, Inwood Consulting Engineers participated in Lighthouse Central Florida’s (LCF) 22nd annual Sight and Sole Walk. The team of employees, family, and friends were among over 325 walkers who attended the event on Saturday, May 9 at Universal Studios Orlando. Inwood placed first in the Corporate Team category contributing to the grand total of nearly $42,000 raised at the event. This is Inwood’s eighth year to participate in the walk.
Kristen Ganoff, Engineer Intern at Inwood, explained, “I walked for LCF because it is important to support our local community in need. I enjoyed raising money and awareness for such a worthy cause.”
For over 30 years, LCF has been the only organization in Central Florida that provides comprehensive vision rehabilitation services to children and adults with vision impairment. The organization uses the funds raised at charity events for high quality programs, expert technology, and caring advocacy.
“The participants of the Site and Sole Walk raised funds to help blind and sight impaired children, adults, and seniors develop the skills they need to live independent and productive lives. We are grateful for Inwood’s partnership and contributions,” stated Mary Kimbrell, Investor Relations Manager with LCF.
