Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. has been selected by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 5 to study the widening of  United States Highway (U.S.) 441, also known as Orange Blossom Trail (O.B.T.), in Osceola County, Florida.  The project begins at U.S. 192 (Vine Street) and extends northward to Country Road (south of Osceola Parkway), a distance of approximately two miles.  The PD&E Study process will involve the development of roadway improvement alternatives, a comparative evaluation of the social and environmental effects, and the overall costs of each alternative. It is anticipated that the existing five-lane roadway will need to be widened to a six-lane divided urban roadway.

Public Involvement will be an important aspect of the O.B.T/ U.S. 441 PD&E Study.  Inwood will use a variety of methods in order to encourage and maintain public involvement in the process, including; public meetings, small group meetings, and a project web site.  In addition, project newsletters will be mailed out to all property owners and tenants within the study area and to federal, state and local officials at key points in the study.
