Mr. Houck brings seven years of professional experience. During his graduate studies, he worked for two years on university-led ecological research projects under the direction of the United States Geological Survey in Tennessee and North Carolina. Moreover, Mr. Houck worked as an ecologist, in Florida, for five years. His GIS experience extends across all seven years. Mr. Houck’s areas of expertise include environmental assessments and permitting, mitigation planning and design, and tree surveys. In addition, Mr. Houck has extensive experience with roadway corridor studies and Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies.
Mr. Houck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, with a Biology Concentration, and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). During his graduate studies, he was a GIS instructor for an undergraduate course at UTC. In addition, Mr. Houck served as a researcher on three publications on environmental science and GIS. He obtained his GIS Professional (GISP) certification in 2007.
