Comments

Orange County has selected Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. to provide final engineering design services for the widening of Texas Avenue from Oak Ridge Road to Holden Avenue.  Inwood is responsible for roadway design and construction plans preparation; stormwater analysis, drainage design and permitting; and public information.  Moreover, the firm will complete the design of utilities, traffic signalization and signing and pavement markings.

The planned improvements to Texas Avenue include widening from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban roadway.  The improvements will include 11-foot wide travel lanes; a 15.5-foot, raised, landscaped median; concrete sidewalks; on-road bicycle lanes; street lighting; landscaping and curb and gutter inlets for drainage.  The design phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by December 2009.
